Matt Clark has dedicated 20 years of his executive search career to designing and optimizing his industry networks, search process and client relationships to offer the best-performing full-service recruitment practice in industry – a practice known for success.
A native of the San Francisco Bay Area with close ties to the region’s technology history, Matt earned his undergraduate studies at the California State University at Chico, before returning to the Bay Area and joining the highly successful retained search firm of Rand Kay & Associates. While at RKA, Matt received a Master of Science degree from the Golden Gate University, graduating summa cum laude. By 2007 he was leading RKA as their Managing Partner and in 2009 Matt acquired the firm and rebranded it as The Clark Group.
For the past ten years he has been developing a differentiated process and engagement model for retained executive search, with a first-in-industry pay-for-performance model and a process that has delivered efficiency, value and an exceptionally high success rate for his clients. Throughout his career Matt has placed hundreds of technology leaders and his client and candidate testimonials highlight his integrity, commitment to clients, passion for success and effective search methodology. He lives in the Santa Cruz mountains with his family and is an active member of his community.
